Nature's Caprice - Moondance by ALP-Dreams Nature's Caprice - Moondance by ALP-Dreams
There are so many things that we do against our nature that we forget how wonderful it feels to be free and how much happiness can simple, little things bring in our life.

--
This is my first work done in a large resolution (6kx4k), and it was great because you can take care of every detail and make everything look as god as possible, but it takes enormous time. Anyway, i enjoyed creating it. Hope you like it too.

Excellently cool and imaginative piece. Do I detect some fractals in there?

Thanks. :)

No, this piece is an exception. Even though i usually use fractals in my digital drawings this pic has none. I just wanted it to be different. ;)

Oops, I figured that there were no actual computer generated fractals in the pic. I meant that it looked "fractalesque" or "fractaline"! I'm just coining words to fit this fairly new thing. For example the large leaves on the left and the swirly bits around the oyster shell and the shell itself. Well, they look like what I call "natural fractals", a redundant term since all of nature is fractal really, don't you think?

Oh yes, now i see what you mean, and from this point of view you are absolutely right.

Just one little detail - there are no leaves and no shell in the image. What you are seing there is a giant stage, ment for the character to allow her to feel like a star in her own privacy (this is the 'caprice' part :)), and the raised part of the scene, (in the left, the one that you said looks like leaves) is actually ment to protect her from any viewer. ;)

I was convinced I was looking at naturally idealized objects! What do I know!? Lol! Anyway, the pic is cool and that's what's important!

For many people it is indeed positive. They act as themselves just when nobody is around, but in the end this sort of comportament proves to be just a caprice. :) And here comes the good part, when you start shining for the whole world! :)

I'm a rather solitary person, probably it is lack of self-confidence. I have also found that now that I am looking at the late part of my life I care less and less of what people think, even though I am becoming even more shy.

hm, maybe it shouldn't be like this. By getting older people get to know more things and can be of much help for the others. Moments of loneliness and time spent with yourself can be good, but it shouldn't always be like this, because the best moments in life are those when you share all the joy with the others. And ... i'm thinking ... what can be better than making the people around you happy? ;)

Sounds like you have been taught to respect your elders. I was too. No one should be alone too much, I have my work which gets me out among people. And my work is with the elderly and housebound, so part of my job is to make people happy and comfortable if I can. Lately I've been working too hard...so I have no social life at all. :) Hopefully that can be remidied in the not too distant future. Don't want to wind up a grumpy old lady! =)

Soothing to the mind and has a fantastic feel, the white butterfly that flies from the woman's hand and the background altogether give this piece an inspiring artwork

aha... ^^; my bad.
